Our Events

At BuildEmUp Fitness, community is not something we simply talk about. It is something we create through shared challenges, unforgettable experiences and showing up for one another.

From our large scale outdoor Cardio Parties and the Impossible Mile to wellness socials, charity events, workshops and member celebrations, every experience is designed to bring people together through movement. Our events welcome athletes of all ages, backgrounds and experience levels, giving everyone an opportunity to challenge themselves, build confidence and feel part of something bigger.

We believe fitness should create memories, strengthen relationships and make a positive impact beyond the walls of the gym. At BuildEmUp, you never have to do hard things alone.

EVENT ONE – Cardio party

Cardio Party is BuildEmUp Fitness’ signature outdoor hybrid fitness event in downtown Springfield, Massachusetts.

What started as an outdoor community workout has quickly grown into a full fitness experience, bringing together as many as 225 athletes for running, functional fitness, teamwork, music, vendors, professional photography, recovery, sneaker demonstrations, free merchandise, and plenty of surprises along the way.

Athletes show up solo, with a partner, as part of a relay team, or ready to represent our junior division. Some come to compete. Some come to prove something to themselves. Some simply come because they know the energy will be unmatched. No matter how they arrive, everyone becomes part of the party. Cardio Party keeps getting bigger, louder, and better. Every event brings new athletes, new divisions, new brand collaborations, more athlete perks, and even more reasons for the community to show up. We are only getting started.

This is not just another race. This is Springfield showing up for fitness. This is athletes pushing past what they thought they could do with an entire community behind them. This is what happens when hard work, good music, big energy, and the right people take over downtown.

We train together. We struggle together. We celebrate together. That is the party.

EVENT TWO – Impossible Mile

The Impossible Mile is BuildEmUp Fitness’ ultimate test of grit, bringing more than 100 athletes ranging from age 7 through their 60s together under the sunset and stadium lights for one mile they will never forget.

The challenge is simple to understand and almost impossible to complete. Athletes take on 400 meters of burpee broad jumps, 400 meters of walking lunges, 400 meters of bear crawls, and one final 400 meter run. They can face the mile solo, share the work with a partner, add a weight vest, or represent police and fire in full uniform.

Some athletes come to compete. Others come to prove to themselves that they can keep moving when everything in them wants to stop. Children take on the same challenge alongside experienced athletes, parents, first responders, and people decades older than them. Every person has their own pace, their own reason, and their own moment when the mile truly begins to feel impossible.

But nobody does it alone. The crowd gets louder, athletes encourage one another, and the entire stadium becomes part of getting every person to the finish. The Impossible Mile proves that strength does not have one age, one body, or one definition.

Alone it is impossible. Together it is just one mile.

EVENT THREE – Perrero pilates and pop up FREE yoga hosted by Christina Lam

Perreo Pilates and Pop Up Pilates, led by Coach Christina Lam, bring trending fitness, high energy movement, music, and aesthetic vibes to unique spaces throughout the region.

Drawing anywhere from 60 to 150 athletes at a time, Christina creates themed Pilates experiences that feel more like an event than a traditional fitness class. From Northampton to Hartford, Connecticut, these pop ups introduce people to movement in a way that feels exciting, social, welcoming, and current.

Christina also hosts free yoga pop ups as a way to make wellness more accessible throughout Western Massachusetts and beyond. Whether someone regularly practices Pilates and yoga or is stepping onto a mat for the first time, these experiences create space to move, connect, and be part of something bigger.

Come for the playlist and the vibes. Stay for the movement, the community, and the reminder that wellness should feel good and be accessible to everyone.
